2018 Hawks Football - Tackle

The Divisions
We follow the Pop Warner national Age and Weight Matrix guidance with July 31st as the birthday cut off.  Please refer back to our website for additional information about the Ages, Weights and our Football program.

We will seek to field as many teams and as many divisions as we can.  When you register on the next page, you will see the options for different divisions.  They are based on Ages and Weights and are the official Pop Warner Age Groups.  Once we know how many Players we will have, we can better align each player with the proper division.  So sign up where you feel comfortable and we will help you from there.

The Season
Season starts on August 1, 2018.
Practice is 4 days a week in August leading up the the first scrimmage at the end of the month. 
The Hawks are hosts to the Bux-Mont League Wide Scrimmage in mid to late August.  First games are typically played around Labor Day.  So be prepared that games will be played on Labor Day weekend.  
Once school starts, practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Games are typically scheduled for Fridays or Saturdays.
Most teams will play 8-10 games and possibly more plus an optional bowl game.

NOTE:  The schedule will not be released to us from the League until the last week of August.
This is a travel league meaning, we play teams in the Bux Mont Pop Warner League with half of our games in Horsham and the other half are on the road.

The Uniforms
We will be using the same awesome Jerseys from the 2017 season so if you purchased a jersey last year, you are good.  If you are a new player, there is a jersey cost of $60.00.  This must be paid at the time of registration in order for timely delivery of the jersey.
Each player must purchase their own Pants, Socks, Cleats and Mouth guard.  We will provide discount coupons and provide more guidance on colors, etc. 

The Hawks will supply Helmets and Shoulder Pads.  This year, we have purchased new helmets and reconditioning others for a brand new look for 2018!  We are returning to the traditional matte black helmets!

The Registration Fee
This year, we have managed to keep the fees the same as they were for the past 2 years.  Your fee covers equipment, league fees, insurance, club house and field maintenance and the many other expenses associated with running a large youth football and cheer organization.

This year, we have provided you with an early registration discount, a payment plan, multi child discounts  and easy online processing.

* No refunds will be issued after June 15th 2018 which is when Rosters are due to the League Office

The Divisions
We follow the Pop Warner national age Matrix when creating our teams.  See the Pop Warner Cheer and Dance age matrix for more information.We will seek to create 3 different teams based on age and experience.  We are looking to have 2 competitive teams who will compete in the Bux-mont Cheer competition, and 1 non-competitive team.  As the competitive teams compete and do well within their divisions, they have the possibility of moving onto the Pop Warner Atlantic Regional Competition, and even the Pop Warner National Championship competition in Walt Disney World, Florida!!  

When you register below, you will see the options for the different divisions.  They are based on ages, and are separated into the official Pop Warner Age Groups.  Once we know how many cheerleaders there are, we will finalize the teams. So for the time being, please register for the age group that is available to your Cheerleader.  Non Comp versus Comp is notated on each age group/division.

All Cheerleaders must participate in sideline cheer in order to attend the competitions. Each team will be assigned a tackle or flag team to cheer alongside of throughout the season.  This is a Great Spirit booster for everyone, as they tend to be cheering on their friends who may be in their classes at school!

The Games
There will be about 8-10 football games in the regular season plus possible bowl games.  There will also be the bux-mont competition, and possibly Regionals and Nationals if the teams are successful.  It is important to note that if a team is successful and makes the next competition, it is expected that all cheerleaders will participate in the next competition.  

The Uniforms
The Hawks will provide sideline cheer uniforms and poms to all the girls.  The girls will have the sideline uniforms, warm-ups, bloomers, socks, bows and competitive shoes (for the competitive squads).

This year, we have had to increase the registration fee to accommodate some new additional costs.  Your fee covers league fees, insurance, maintenance, uniforms, warm-ups, bloomers, socks, and bows.  For the competitive squads your fee will also include: music fees, competition fees, and practice fees, and competitive shoes. 2018 Flag Fall Travel 5-7 Year Old

The Fall Flag Football Program is a non-competitive level of play for children that are 5, 6, & 7 years old. It is generally the first experience that a child will have at football and we make every attempt to approach this level in that manner.

This is a Pop Warner Flag Football Program and we participate in the Bux-Mont League.

Our Flag Coaches are also generally experiencing coaching for the first time.  It's a great way for both players and coaches to get their start.  Depending upon the registration, we could have as many teams as necessary.  In years past, we fielded as many as 2, 3 and even 4 Flag Teams.

The Hawks Flag Football Program is a part of the Bux-Mont Youth Football League.  This is a "travel league", meaning that you will play other teams in the Bux-Mont Pop Warner League.  We will play both Home and Away games and travel to locations and face teams such as Quakertown, Souderton, Upper Merion, Lenape Valley, Pennridge, etc.  The Flag schedule is determined by the League and will be made available in early August of each season.  

The first games are typically played the weekend following Labor Day and run through early November.

Flag Football has practice starting in mid August and typically practices one or two days per week with games on Saturdays (pending final League schedule).

Your registration fee includes a Game Jersey that you get to keep, Game Pants and Flags.

There are two divisions that you can register for: Cat and Cub.
Cat = 5 & 6 year olds
Cub = 5, 6 & 7 year olds

If we have enough players to form multiple teams, we will form a younger team and an older team.  Otherwise, we will combine everyone into the "Cub" category.
