The Hatboro Horsham Hawks organization is excited to open registration for our Fall 2021 Tackle Football Season. The Hawks are members of the Bux-Mont Youth Football Association which is the largest League within the Pop Warner organization in the United States. This year, we are offering two different team options: Age Based (Unweighted) and Age/Weight Based. The objective is to provide as many options for players and families as possible to compete in this great game. We will work to form as many tackle teams as possible while setting each player and team up for success.
When you move through the registration process, you may be presented with multiple team options based on your player’s age. Please select the team that you feel is best suited for your player. Once all registrations are received, the Hawks will evaluate and may need to balance out the teams by moving a player to a different team based on age/weight concerns. Each parent will be consulted by the President of the Hawks and the Head Coach if this is the case. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected] and Mark Dillon will be happy to address any concerns or questions that you have.
Note: Head Coaches and Coaching Staffs will be selected by May 1.
The 2021 Team Options are as follows:
Rookie Tackle (New this season) – 6-7 yr olds
This is played on a smaller field with a 7 v 7 format with helmet, pads and tackling to help introduce tackle football to younger players with modified rules. This serves as a bridge from Flag to 11 person tackle.
1. Mitey Mites: Ages 8-9 (weight: 100 lbs)
2. Jr Pee Wee: Age 10 (weight: 115 lbs) and 11 year olds (weight: 95 lbs)
3. Pee Wee: Age 10-11 (weight: 130 lbs) and 12 year olds (weight: 115 lbs)
4. Age Based 12U: 11-12 year olds - any weight
5. Age Based 14U: 13-14 year olds - any weight
Safety is the #1 priority whether during a pandemic or not, and we realize that these are uncertain times. The Hawks participated in a full season of Football in the Fall of 2020 by following strict Covid safety precautions and planning for the same this year. We will follow the direction of the Township, the County and the State as it relates to the safety of our players related to any Covid related matters. In addition, the Hawks certify every Coach on the field through an extensive USA Football Certification course annually and every coach and volunteer is required to pass all background checks before participating in practice and games.
